“The Margariti Museum is located in Margariti Thesprotia, Northwest Greece, between Igoumenitsa and Parga. It is housed in a preserved courtyard building in the market area (Bazaar). It is a ground floor mansion and a floor built in 1893. When purchased from the Margariti Cultural Group, it was in a ruined situation. After intensive and extensive maintenance and rehabilitation work, it has been operating since 2009 as a museum and cultural center and houses objects of the pre-industrial age. The Eastern ground floor room served as a storage space. Today it is a place of information material and projections. The other side of the ground floor had an elevated space of residence (or second storage space from below, the Kallii. Onta is currently exhibition space and the Kallii, the Museum’s warehouse. In the telltale operates a “wool, flax, loom and sewing machine”. The loom is in operation and the visitor is called to try! The floor had in the past two accommodation spaces, the winter with a fireplace and an official ornament, the goody, with an impressive wood-carved ceiling painted. Each Onta had a need (inner toilet). Winter Ontas has been represented as it was at the end of the 19th century, while the official man operates today as a place of meetings, periodic exhibitions and educational programs. “
