The castle of Sofa is located in the southwest of the Old Tragjas village and rises on a hill, which resembles a steep rock formation that continues from southeast to northwest. It has the shape of a trapezoid and from the structure of the surrounding walls is distinguished only the southern tower, with a quadrangular shape and dimensions 6.1×3.8 m, while the thickness of its walls is 1.3 m. On the east side is preserved a corner of the wall which reaches up to 1 m in height. The walls are preserved in a better condition on the south side, in the inner part of the enclosure, while the walls that extend to the northwest and northeast are preserved in ruin contitions, about 30 to 50 cm above the ground surface. The walls of the castle are built of small stones broken by local formations, connected with mortar with a lot of lime.
