Keramica is a mountainous village of the Municipality of Filiates. It is built at an altitude of 580 meters on the slopes of Mourganas at a distance of about 20 kilometers northeast of Filiates, the capital of the Municipality. South of today’s village, the “ruins of the Hellenism and probably of Roman times have been highlighted. Komi was built on a limestone low-ridge (where the locations “Vigla” and “Paliokastro”), which rises to the sources of Dafni’s stream (or trouble). ” The wider area of Keramitsa has been a field of battles both during the Greek-Turkish and the Second World, but also the Civil War. A wandering in Mesochori, the central part of the village with the church of Ag. Demetriou, the former Community Palace, Traditional Houses, Cafe and Gero-Platanos promise to save you (Velis, 2016).
