The fortification system was erected in the IV cent. of our era, as well as with later additions in the cen. VI-VII; XIV-XV, also equipped with quadrangular reinforcing towers. From the constructive point of view, the solid wall surrounded a part of today’s city center and formed a fortified settlement of the Castrum type. The surrounding wall is built with thick retaining walls.
